project

i am hoping to get Asher's stuff done before the summer hits. well .. at least all the big projects, like painting, sewing, and so forth. i don't think painting a rocking chair would be fun to do when your 8 months pregnant and its 80 degrees outside. this weeks projects were.......................................
1)paint the shelf

painted yellow and grey ... this use to be an antique red. im quite proud of this project.

2)set up the light

leaves

3)finish the fabric squares for above the bassinet

you cant really tell but there are birds and leaves and such on the fabric.

3)burp cloths

cloth diapers with ribbon... my mom made these for me when i was a baby so i wanted to make some for Asher. . .my favorites are, camo (far right) and giraffe (middle)...
o and the green semi circle... right at the bottom of the picture. thats my belly... Asher wanted to be in the picture i guess

its coming along. not your typical nurseryish room but i love it so far. and i think he will enjoy it. my only big projects involve refinishing the dresser and the rocker. then im pretty well set. besides sewing the pillows and stuff. im pretty happy.
