thankful

today i am thankful for

• my mom. she is my best friend. i love love love love her. Asher loves her. she makes him happy and move all over the place. she could be talking across the room and he will start moving .... i would rather sit and hang out with my mom than do just about anything. for that matter, i would rather hang out with my parents on a friday night, crocheting a blanket in the recliner, and watching discovery channel, than do pretty much anything else.
• ariel. she took pictures of me. to document my pregnancy. i had so much fun spending time with her. and feel so grateful to have a friend do that for me.
  
• myself, my will to have a good life, to do better, and be better, and set goals, and accomplish things. i know this sounds weird. but some days i easily want to just throw in the hypothetical towel. but i have to talk myself into finding my will again.
  
• a healthy active baby boy in my belly. having something grow inside you for 9 months is simply amazing. the fact that he started out the size of a needle tip.... and now only a few months later... is a full grown baby!~ a human being!~ that is amazing!~
• kohls. you are wonderful. sales constantly. i got a new beautiful down comforter for $30,... regularly $100+..
  
• sharing my pregnancy with my family and friends. rather than a man. this too may sound weird but it has been a wonderful experience for my mom to be there at all the appointments.. it has brought us very close together. and for my sisters to feel him and be able to be so close to him.
  
• finding a part time second job. that i can do from home. if it all works out.... i will feel so thankful. being a single mom with only 1 income is going to be hard. so the added money a month will help me SO much!
• realizing that their is a chance to finish college. i am in a great situation to do it. i live with my family. i will be able to comfortably leave my baby with them. i will be able to qualify for a significant amount of grant money since i am now a single mom and make very little money..
  
• my job. people hate their jobs. when i go to work.. i feel like im with my friends all shift. no matter who i am working with. the women i work with are AMAZING! they are so much fun. they all are so smart. and so sweet. and so caring. ... There is NO drama. you would think that an entire unit of women, young and old, would be drama filled. i dont see it. ever. i think we genuinely care about each other.
  
• friends. how did a girl like me get so lucky. i grew up with the closest friends. we have been together since stretch pants and scrunchies... to now.. babies and marriages. the 7 of us grew up together in every way. and were lucky enough to adopt Erin a few years ago. it is like she has always been there. to have a group of 8 girls as close as we are.. is hard to find.
