1} sometimes. i have the most adorable patients EVER. this week particularly. . . as it was an especially busy week... i was grateful for:: an adorable 2yr old girl, sick as can be with swine... chest tube/every complication possible.. "what do you want to drink sweetheart?"... "a root beer slushie please :)" -and i obliged.
2}the "mom club" as Ariel referred to. i love talking to other moms about sleeping patterns, eating habits, and just general bragging about our babies. from strangers to friends to co-workers.
3}Ange and i talk at least 3 times a day usually. i think it is my sanity. we sometimes have so much to hurry and fit into our conversation (between our crying babies) that we tend to interrupt one another. its like cramming a day full of talk into 3 conversations. i love her.
4}Joaquin Phoenix is perfection . . i adore him. despite his scarred lip.. no... actually.. i LOVE his scarred lip. he is it for me. perfection.
5}i LOVED the New York Times Magazine article about Intermountain Health Care.. in which IHC is rated the best health care organization in the country?! wow. i may have gotten a little teary eyed reading it. i am very thankful for my job. . for insurance that allows me to go to IHC facilities.. and for the chance i have to be working for such an amazing, innovative, program.
6}I think. . . now this is my opinion.. that if Jesse McCartney and i were given a chance at dating.. we could really make it work :) i heart him.
7}as a mother. living in her parents home. i rarely have what is referred to as "Privacy". which is fine. but sometimes.. after you have had a stressful day at work. . like where you didnt even get to take a lunch break in 12 hours. . privacy/quiet time to myself sounds really nice. i am thankful for... a commute to allow me to listen to music and for long showers.
8}I cant wait to meet a nice boy. i have been praying about having confidence and having the chance one day to meet and hopefully date a nice boy. by nice.. i mean it in the most general sense. nice. just nice to me. one that doesnt make me feel bad about myself or disappoint me or hurt me. i have had such a great feeling about this chance for a happy future. i have never believed more that Heavenly Father has someone really amazing in store for Asher and i. that i need to stay faithful. that i need to stay strong. that i need to live up to this promise by arranging my life in accordance with the gospel.
9}My parents are amazing. amazing doesnt actually seem to be a strong enough word. they are so sensitive to my needs. to my feelings, good and bad. this week.... i have had a hard time. i have cried on my home from work every single night. its just a bit overwhelming working full time-12 hour shifts, and getting home at 9pm.. barely having time to kiss and bathe your cranky tired baby. i have had major sadness in my heart this week.. ... feeling like Asher doesn't get to be with me enough. and my parents have been so sweet and put him on the phone for me to talk to while im at work, made my life easier by helping me in any way that they can, and MOST of all..... taking amazing care of my sweetheart all day while im working. . . i have zero anxiety or worry leaving Asher with my parents. they love him. he loves them. they are wonderful parents and people and grandparents and i could not possibly have it better.
10} Asher laughs make my heart glad.. i get SO happy when he laughs. and sometimes i smile so much when im talking to him that my cheeks actually begin to cramp up. he is my light....
11}and lastly.. Glee. im not going to down play my LOVE for glee. i have been beyond excited for this weeks episode. my first patient at PCMC, on my first day of work on the infant unit. was a 3 day old, Hispanic, downs syndrome girl. . . with the most fantastic head of black hair you could dream of. i fell in love with her. i still think of her often and its been years since i saw her. i have a soft spot, a very soft spot, for downs syndrome . . . and when Sue went to visit her older sister in the nursing home, i thought of my sweet little mohawk'd patient. . i know im a nerd. but ...... i cant change it:)
PS and side note. i am fully aware that almost all my comments involved things that make me teary eyed, cry, or get emotional. apparently im an emotional girl.
and pps. i cant wait to see my beautiful, hilarious, wonderful family of friends on Saturday for Tiff's bday. i am counting down the minutes:!

Glee was surprisingly touchy. I cried at when Sue visited her sister, and when Artie got a kiss from that liar :) Cried is an exaggeration though. I think i just got teary eyed (that's cool, right)
I am very excited for everyone to get together too! I have never met baby B and for crying out loud I have to see little Asher again, he loves me you know?
ps is it going to pretty much kill me to go back to work after my six week leave?
